ARCH ON TOUR is organizing its first charity tour to support the MSL Margarete Schütte-Lihotzky Center and its new publication "Margarete Schütte-Lihotzky Center – The Architect’s Apartment". The book reflects the history of Margarete Schütte-Lihotzky’s former apartment at Franzensgasse - from the planning of her retirement home and its subsequent restoration and reconstruction to its current role as a museum, research facility, and venue for exchange. Margarete Schütte-Lihotzky (1897–2000) was one of the most significant Austrian architects of the 20th century, a pioneer in social housing and the design of childcare and educational facilities, as well as a committed resistance fighter against National Socialism. She achieved global renown primarily as the inventor of the "Frankfurt Kitchen," the prototype for the modern fitted kitchen.

We cordially invite you to an exclusive charity tour of the listed apartment where the Austrian architectural pioneer Margarete Schütte-Lihotzky spent the last 30 years of her life, blending Modernism with Viennese residential culture. Using a wealth of photographs, books, plans, objects, stories, and anecdotes, Judith Augustinovič will introduce us to the life of this extraordinary architect within the unique setting of her small apartment - a space defined by meticulously considered details.
