ARCH ON TOUR 07_VENICE - 15th ARCHITECTURE BIENNALE

Reporting from the front

15./16.-18. SEPTEMBER 2016

Concept and moderation: Marion Kuzmany, ARCH ON TOUR

Guided tours: "La Biennale di Venezia"

Tour operator: Mondial GmbH u Co KG

At the 15th Architecture Biennale in Venice "Reporting from the Front", this year's biennial curator Alejandro Aravena is focusing on those projects in which architecture reacts to fundamental and current global problems with concrete solutions.

Following the general topic, Elke Delugan-Meissl, commissioner of the Austrian contribution, together with the 3 teams Caramel Architects, EOOS and the next ENTERprise architects as well as Liquid Frontiers, shows the process results of the project initiated in Vienna on the occasion of the refugee crisis

"Places for people". Another highlight in the Giardini is the German contribution "Making Heimat, Arrival Country". The design of the entrance area in the Arsenale with recycled demolition materials from the last Biennale and numerous projects by young offices that illustrate a noticeable rethinking process with innovative concepts is pleasing.

ARCH ON TOUR, in cooperation with "La Biennale di Venezia", provides a general overview of the Biennale, leads to the most important contributions in the Giardini and the Arsenale and to selected "Eventi Collaterali" in the urban area of Venice. In addition to the guided program, there is enough time for individual visits. As in the tried and tested way, an appealing evening program is optimally taken care of. On Saturday evening, an "Apericena" is reserved exclusively for our group in the Piano Nobile of Palazzo Malipiero. A nocturnal walk accompanies you on hidden paths through the "mysterious Venice"  back to the hotel.
