At the beginning of the tour, the footsteps of Andrea Palladio lead us to a walk through the old town of Vicenza, to the impressive Teatro Olimpico and to the overwhelming Basilica Palladiana, the heart of the historical center, where also our "oldest hotel of Vicenza" is located. Inspiring bus tours to the best Palladian villas as well as to Carlo Scarpa's masterpiece - the Tomba Brion - describe the dense but contemplative days in Veneto, ending at the gorgeous Villa Michelangelo, which, embedded in the hilly landscape south of Vicenza, reveals a magnificent view of the idyllic surrounding.
A boat trip through the Brenta with further villa-visits on the banks of the river navigates us through the lagoon to the Riva Schiavoni in Venice, where the following two days round off the theme of "Palladio and Scarpa" with other key projects of the two local architects, who influenced the architectural history in very different aspects.
Numerous expert guided tours, interior visits, city walks, private boat trips, excellent food and wine tastings in villas and other authentic places characterize the rich program, which also allows time for individual explorations.
